Department of Mechanical Engineering
This important discipline of engineering involves mechanism, analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. It requires a concrete understanding of key concepts including mechanics, kinematics thermodynamics and energy. Mechanical engineers use these principles in design and analysis of automobiles, aircrafts, heating and cooling systems, manufacturing plants, industrial equipments and machinery medical devices and more.
The mechanical engineering department has adequate exposures with latest modern techniques of production and practical applications. It also incorporates the facilities in the areas of CAD/CAM and is fully equipped with latest software namely solidworks, solidcam & cosmos etc.
The department has the following well developed laboratories
- A Well Equipped Central Workshop
- Kinematics of Machine Lab
- Thermodynamics Lab
- Material Science Lab
- Ref & Air Conditioning Lab
- DOM Lab
- I.C. Engine Lab
- Fluid Mechanics Lab
- Heat Transfer Lab
